Our Story
JoyRidr started as a personal frustration and became a platform. We own a ski chalet with unbooked nights. We wanted to trade those empty nights for a boat on the lake, an RV for a road trip, a beach house somewhere warm. No platform existed that did that — across all categories, all in one place. So we built it.

A Note From the Founder
We own a ski chalet that has unbooked nights. And for years, we wished we could trade those empty nights for a boat on the lake, an RV for a road trip, a beach house somewhere warm.
No platform existed that combined the ability to trade our asset's downtime for all different categories of adventures, all of it in one place. So we're building it.
JoyRidr started as a simple idea: trade those empty nights for the experiences we actually wanted — without having to own everything.
If you value rich experiences with your family and believe your idle asset deserves a better life too — this club is for you. Welcome to JoyRidr.
What We Believe
The average recreational asset sits unused 65–96% of the year. That idle time isn't just a missed financial opportunity — it's a missed life opportunity. JoyRidr exists to change that equation.
The most interesting adventures rarely match the one asset you happen to own. Cross-category exchange is the unlock — a ski chalet owner accesses a catamaran, a boat owner books a mountain cabin.
Existing platforms were designed for renters. JoyRidr is designed for owners first — people who understand the responsibility, the pride, and the untapped potential of a well-maintained recreational asset.
JoyRidr doesn't take a cut of your nights or charge per booking. A flat annual membership is what funds the platform — which is exactly why there are no nightly fees, no commissions, no hidden costs.
The Model
JoyRidr is a private membership club — not a rental marketplace. The distinction matters. There are no nightly rates between members, no platform commissions, and no race to the bottom on pricing.
You list your recreational asset — cabin, boat, RV, ATV, chalet, watercraft — and commit to sharing a set number of nights per year.
For every night you share, you receive one adventure credit. Credits are the currency of the club — no cash changes hands between members.
Redeem your credits to book any available asset in the network, across any category. Your cabin nights become a catamaran weekend or a ski trip.
